ARTWORK - A GUIDE TO GETTING PRINT READY

Artwork is a vital component in what ever print or garment decoration method we use.

To make things a little more straightforward please follow our simple guide to what to consider when having your logo designed or creating your own artwork for print.

There are a handful of graphics formats you may be familiar with such as jpeg, bitmap and the main Adobe formats, namely Photoshop PSD, Illustrator AI and the commonly used document format PDF.

Primarily we use Corel graphics software for artwork prep, however this also handles other software file formats.

All artwork has to be digitized to work in an embroidery format. So generally we can accept artwork in most formats as long as the image quality is of a decent standard.

File formats accepted include jpg, png, bitmap, pdf, eps, doc and generally anything that can be viewed on a computer.

Please note we will not accept artwork which is copyrighted such as characters, registered sports logos etc unless you have permission to use the artwork.

DIRECT TO GARMENT PRINTING

Files should be provided in a vector format such as EPS or PDF if editing is required. Print ready files can be supplied in a PNG format with a transparent background, preferably at 300dpi resolution.

PRINT & CUT TRANSFERS

Artwork should be provided in a vector format such as EPS, PDF, CDR in order to create cut lines to create the finished transfer when using single colour vinyls. All fonts should be converted to outlines/curves.

For print and cut transfers, artwork is preferred in 300dpi resolution. Vector artwork is preferred however cut lines can be created depending on the complexity of your artwork
